Enzo Pérez: The ever lasting saga around the Argentine midfielder seem to continue throughout the last week of the transfer window. Yesterday he finally did not join the squad for the game against Boavista, despite being called in for the provisional 20-man troop. Rumours on twitter claimed he had refused to join, reports which are nowhere to be found in Portugal. Valencia still hope to seal the deal, but if the bid is not accepted by Wednesday, Valencia will turn elsewhere with Filipe Augusto being a viable option. Jorge Jesus yesterday said he hoped to have the argie available for the match against Sporting.
Andres Guardado: The Mexican reportedly travelled towards Eindhoven yesterday to have his medical today. PSV manager Philippe Cocu yesterday confirmed that he was about to sign the winger. The negotiations have taken longer than expected as PSV have tried to insert an option to buy in the agreement.
Vinicius Araújo: The young Brazilian is also heading out on loan and Standard Liege is the destination. It is expected that the loan agreement will wrapped up early this week.
Jackson Martinez: His transfer looks less likely than ever. The agreement Peter Lim had with Pinto da Costa reportedly expired in July. Porto recently laughed off Milan’s loan offer for the striker, but da Costa was surprisingly not declaring Jackson unavailable for transfer, but rather for loan. It is expected Valencia will try to sign the striker towards the very end of the window.
Club sale: We are still waiting for the final steps to be taken early September. There are 4 contracts to be signed, and they need to be signed more or less at the same time. Sponsorship and other dependent deals will have to wait until after this.
